Kala Smriti was established as a tribute to the life and artistic legacy of the renowned artist Late Surendra Pal Joshi, whose work reflected deep engagement with memory, resilience, culture, and place.

What began as a personal remembrance has evolved into a public charitable initiative dedicated to supporting art, culture, and creative education. The Trust works actively to provide a platform for emerging and young artists from across India, while also nurturing artistic awareness at the grassroots level.

Through national-level art exhibitions, artist showcases, educational outreach, and community-based art programs, Kala Smriti seeks to encourage creative expression and preserve the values that Surendra Pal Joshi stood for.
